As a Qubus Hotel representative I can recommend not only our hotel rooms, but also a Sky Bar, located on the highest, 27th floor of the hotel. The place is avaible for oor guest - you will be able to enjoy a stunning panorama of Katowice from there.

I can tell you that some time ago our guest Phil Collins was impressed by the Sky Bar and Katowice's panorama.

dear QUBUS hotel, with all due respect this forum is not an advertising avenue for anyone or anything, let people write about everything as they experience.
The best thing you can do is to offer 10% or 20% discount for people coming there because of their M.S., and let word of mouth get you the business.
I myself am staying there, but you are more on the expensive side, especially this time of year, I'm not sure if I did the right thing anymore. People stay in different places, mainly because of the cost, and sky bar or panorama as nice as they may be, are the last thing in their mind.

AND TO ALL MSers, if you have to tell each other where you're going to stay, only send PM. Let it be a fare competition for the hotels, otherwise, soon we will be flooded with all sorts of ads.

From a personal perspective I took no offence from your post but viewed it merely as welcoming and informative. Several posters on this forum have stayed at the Qubus and because they spoke well of the experience, others - including myself, have booked in the coming weeks.

I think that many of us just feel a little unsettled because of recent changes in the administration procedures relating to the treatment. Please don't take offense because I'm sure that none was meant. I am sure that you will appreciate the fact that our trip to Poland is for medical reasons rather than the more normal sightseeing issues associated with tourists. Having said that we will obviously try to enjoy our trip as much as we can.

As an aside - Claire did include a laugh out loud and the post was probably tounge in cheek!

As your endovascular procedure at Euromedic is approaching, we'd like to
present you with more details of your examination and procedure dates. Your
MRV examination will take place on 2nd March and your procedure on 3rd
March.
Please do not book your accommodation on your own, as the
accommodation and transportation from/to the airport as well as around
Katowice is included in the package of treatment. The pricelist is enclosed.
Please send us your flight details so that we can collect you from the
airport.

Please book your flight : arrival at Katowice-Pyrzowice or Kraków - Balice
airport for 1st March(the lastest) and departure for 6th March or later -
the package includes 5 nights in a double room - pricelist included. Please
advice us if the patient uses a wheelchair.

Within 2 weeks we'll send you account number where we kindly request to pay
the amount of 6 900 euro. Prove of payment is necessary to be presented in
hospital.

We kindly inform you that due to increased costs of medical insurance and costs of clinical researches, we have to change the price of Liberation Treatment (CCSVI) method. New price also includes transportation and part of accommodation costs during your stay in Poland. We have decided to cover non-medical areas with our assistance to increase performance of the Clinic and to shorten the waiting time for the procedure.

Since 25th January 2010 the costs will amount to:
 6 900 euro : angioplasty with stenting – 1 stent (if more than one stent is placed, each additional stent costs 500 euro)
 6 400 euro : angioplasty

The price includes:
 Vascular surgeon/angiologist consultation
 Color Doppler ultrasound examination
 MRI examination
 Endovascular procedure (angioplasty or stenting)
 introductory consultation with the leading doctor
 5-night stay in 4-star hotel (breakfast included)
 Transportation to the examination and procedure facilities (Doppler, MRI, surgery)
 Transportation from/to Pyrzowice (Katowice) or Balice (Kraków) Airport
 EuroMedic personnel assist during your stay
 telephone hot-line assistance

 If for medical reasons angioplasty or stenting cannot be performed the package price amounts to:
 2 700 euro : Full diagnostics with phlebography
1 800 euro : color Doppler ultrasound and MRI examination
