Just put up this post on the topic of the recent news out of Buffalo.

And just a shameless self-promotion reminder, if you haven't already voted for Wheelchair Kamikaze as "best patient blog", you can do so by clicking on the image on the webpage. Not that I'm begging or anything (he says from bended knees)...

I hadn't realized that somehow you've become the underdog by 4%

Evidently enough time has gone by that it let me vote again and we need to http://medgadget.com/2009bestpatient.html
My opponent appears to be something of a marketing machine. Her topic is type I diabetes, which gives her a larger audience to begin with, and her site has had over 1 million hits, hosts advertising, and offers website branded merchandise for sale.

When I started the blog, I decided that it wouldn't be a for-profit venture. I profit enough from the satisfaction I get from reader responses, and the knowledge that maybe in some tiny way I'm doing my bit...

OK Marc, I've changed my mind. Feigned modesty DOES become you!

Even though I'm misty eyed I bookmarked the voting site and noticed that it let me vote yet again a second time tonight and I notice that we....er, you, are only 44 votes behind at the moment. Definitely do-able for the people at thisisms to get and keep you in the lead!

Later edit* I just noticed that even though it's let me vote about 10 times in the last five minutes, Marc's count remains at 441 so I'm not sure if I'm doing any good or not
Unfortunately, it only allows one vote per computer...

Hey Mark!

How about I-phones? I am not technologically savy, so. is my I-phone another address?
I can pull the website up from the I-phone - one more vote...hope it counts

Thanks Marc, I was trying to find the voting rules.

Vote once per computer or IP address? I do have 6 computers running but they all share the one wireless router and IP address.
I believe it's IP address...

In the lead by 4...I have to admit I managed 5. No IP address nonsense, just old-fashioned husband/friends/sister routine.

Mike needs about 15 more votes. Lets find 15 people to vote for Mike. Talk to your friends, talk to your neighbors, talk to strangers. Mike should win. Oh what the .... talk to your enemies too. His blogs are precise and interesting not boring and repeat information found elsewhere minus the humor element.. Kamkaze is not mundane like six until 38%. Please vote Kamkaze for the winner of 2009. http://www.wheelchairkamikaze.com/2010/ ... -news.html
