MRI & MRV Test Results

I am interested to see if anyone has had a similar experience. I recently had the testing done for CCSVI. The imaging center claimed to have the correct protocol to conduct the exam. I had an MRI and an MRV with/wo contrast. The results came back with "no significant stenosis" and no venous stenoses and right transverse sinus dominant. First.....I am pretty sure I don't know what the $%#^ that means. Second...I am not sure my G/P will not either. I am going to send the results off to my nero. Has anyone had a similar experience and if so did you submit your results to anyone for further review? Any help/direction would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Its normal for one vein to be more dominant than the other (so I was told by a couple of vascular specialists) Even though the MRV/MRI showed no stenosis don't assume there is not a problem. My MRV looked normal but the venogram showed blood flow issues due to a valve problem.

LR1234,

Thanks for the quick response. If you don't mind me asking, how did you find out about your valve problem?

I had a doppler test done in Poland with Dr Simka.

Thanks again LR 1234. I did not have the doppler done.

I think Doppler is one of the preferred diagnostics since you can measure actual blood flow. Plus, you can see abnormal flow patterns that might be caused by valve issues etc. I don't think MRI/MRV is being used to look 'inside' veins.

Don't give up. Persistance and patience will yield rewards :D
