Savouryourlife, please keep us posted with any updates. I'm curious to know if you will be scheduled for a MRV and/or any follow up you may have with a vascular surgeon.

In order to see a Vascular Surgeon, you will need a referal from your GP. Your GP can also provide you with a requisition for testing.

I sense that as time passes, more of us are getting more and more anxious to be "liberated" here at home!

Has anyone found a Vascular surgeon who is willing to even consider this treatment?

Hi
Thanks
for the info, but I wanted to know if particular vascular doctors are willing to refer to testing and do the procedure.There isn't any point asking my GP fpr a referral otherwise.

Elaine, it will be easier to get a vascular surgeon's attention if you have test results which show stenosis, so there's enough resason to ask your GP for the requisition. Also, it is most likely that your GP knows vascular surgeons who work from the same hospital he/she does and will refer you to one. This is, so far, how it's working out for me. I have an appointment on Wednesday with my GP to discuss the findings of the doppler testing and I'm hoping if anything was found, she will book an appointment for me to see the surgeon.

You have to start somewhere. :)

Sorry that you're having a relapse and your neuro is being such a jerk. He could have held the same views but expressed them much differently or not at all! Many doctors manage to fit compassion into their practices - maybe that's just the good ones...

I wish you a speedy recovery and a finding of stenosis in March!

Just wanted to let those who are following this thread know I saw my GP on Wednesday this week and she said although there's a flow problem with my right internal jugular vein, the Vascular Surgeon said that there's nothing he could do for me right now (whatever that means)!

@youbetcha

I read things like that and I get so upset/angry. . . if there is something wrong with whatever part of your body, to me, it's unethical to be turned down.
I don't understand how our doctors are thinking. It's so frustrating!
