What do I need to know about getting angioplasty?

I don't have the mental capacity, ability, or eyesight to go chasing all over this forum to get these answers, so I'm posting a new topic in hopes of getting your help.
I need to know the good, the bad, and the ugly of angioplasty.
If anyone knows first hand about getting angioplasty, I'd like to know everything from the start--even a week before.
My neuroradiologist is going to start off with a double (neck) angio first and we'll see if that holds. I'll need to know what to expect as a patient and what I should do and not do at all times. I'm in pretty bad shape as most of you know. Walking is out and so is standing.
I know nothing about this procedure other than they start at the groin. From there I haven't a clue. I figured the more prepared I am; the better off I'll be. Thanks for your help. I'm going in some time for the procedure in middle April.
