I'll try to write out what they found on his eye test:

OD red (FLV%) : 3.826
OS red (FLV%) : 4.736

OD yellow (GLV%) : 10.811


Anything that was red was outside normal. Yellow was borderline. Green normal.

(Everything else for my husband was green)

Does OD and OS refer to left and right eye? Obviously I didn't ask enough questions, but when you're there and have limited time with the doctors it's hard to cover everything. Oh, well that's what you guys are there for!

The optic neuropathy in multiple sclerosis and glaucoma neuropathy are very common ophthalmological diseases. Multiple sclerosis /MS/ is the chronic inflammatory central nervous system demyelinisation disease with an autoimmunological ethiology. The last investigation of multiple sclerosis indicate the molecular and cellular autoimmunisation aspects. Te role of vasoactive factors is underlines in its pathogenesis which also suggests the common elements of glaucoma and MS pathogenesis. The over expressed vasoconstrictive mechanisms in both diseases can conduct to optic nerve injury. The aim of this study is evaluation of the optic disc morphological changes in sclerosis multiplex patients /MS/ with or without neuritis optica in anamnesis in glaucoma "remodeling" aspects. MATERIAL AND METHODS: We present two patients with coexsist sclerosis multiplex and glaucoma neuropathy, which underwent retrobulbar neuritis. CONCLUSION: Coexistance of glaucoma neuropathy and multiple sclerosis neuropathy may indicate common elements of glaucoma and SM pathogenesis. The authors recommend precise morphological optic disc evaluation in multiple sclerosis patients because glaucoma neuropathy may appear.

LR, Thanks for that info - it will be interesting to see if this glaucoma issue resolves itself at the follow-up appt. These blocked veins are responsible for so many problems, and not always the obvious ones.

So many good things are happening to my husband right now - we know CCSVI is for real, because we're living it.

I do not mind people posting useful information on my posting. We are all in this together and the more the merrier as far as I am concerned.

Badger - my knowledge of badgers, is of smelly, ill-tempered critters (we have wolverines). You ought to change your handle to Bunny, or Purring Kitty, or such - ill-tempered, you are not. We'll have to ask Tim and Mark (?) about the smelly aspect. Grin.

I'm so thrilled to read of your continued improvements! Mom & I enjoyed meeting you and Katie so much and couldn't believe the changes we saw in you before and after the surgery. Everyone has different changes but yours were so evident - a clear indicator of just how much this procedure can help people. The joy and optimism we saw in you and Katie when you returned to the hotel from the hospital were the best part of all.

I have had my reply from Dr. Zamboni. I told him about my trip to Poland and thanked him for giving all MSers a chance to have their life back.

He replied "That is great news Barry, a big thumbs up."

What a lovely man!!!

No further improvements but I am enjoying my new found freedom.

REading your account of your Polish experience made me cry as I remembered our time there. WE left just as you had arrived and missed seeing you but we were there with Gwen and Rob (Fraser). It was such a magical experience to have gone through, like a spiritual bonding of souls, all going through the same fears and having to conquer them by yourself but having the support around you, for me it was the best support I have encountered to date as you were with like minded people who knew what you were going through.
I miss being in Poland and I miss the friends we made as we became very close very quickly sharing our biggest fears and worries is not something you would ever do again even if you met someone on holiday you do not share the same bond as that.
THis forum is so brilliant for keeping the connection going and making you feel as if you are connected to people at last, instead of being separate from the world outside.
I feel huge joy at your improvements and it gives me more hope that more improvements will beheading my way too I am a slow burner right now

I just read through this thread and wanted to thank you for sharing your experience and your reflective account. It is fantastic that you are feeling so much better after your procedure and I hope there are many more improvements for you.
I just received a e-mail saying I have been booked for May 24&25th in Poland. I never thought I would hear but it is just around the corner now and your posts have made it all the more enticing.
