Simple instructions - procedure in Poland

Finally my wife and I have decided that her veins needs checking and fixing.. so we have Poland in mind. So I have just some (maybe simple) questions in mind right now.

1) Whom to contact? Marian Simka? If so.. what is his e-mail?

2) How long is the client line now?

3) When and how happens the payment?

4) If something needs to be checked after of fixed (like re-stenosis), how this happens? Is there some sort of guarantee for procedure?

5) Can you cancel your reservation?

6) and finally im wondering that is it wiser to wait? or just make reservation at once? I quess this is impossible-question or opinion-question.. :D

ps. my wife's dx is 3,5 yrs old and she is RR. No medicine, unless you count best-bet-diet as medicine. Symptoms very minor.

I'll take a shot at answering your questions. I've heard they might be opening another clinic, so best to get your name in:

1. Dr. Simka is not taking emails/calls directly. You have to contact Euromedic who are handling all requests for appts.:

info@euromedicpoland.com

2. I've heard 2012, but not 100% sure.

3. As your appt. date approaches they ask for full payment and will give you a special account number to deposit the amount in. They asked us for payment about 2 weeks before our appointment date.

4. There were a few people there that had returned because the vein collapsed after angioplasty. They were taken back quickly, one woman was there again after 2 weeks. They charge much less to redo it - but if a stent is required of course it would be more.

5. I'm sure there is no problem cancelling if you haven't paid. Once you've paid I'm not sure - best to check with them.

6. Why not get your date? You will be waiting quite awhile anyway, but at least your name is in there. Maybe you could get in on a cancellation.

My husband was only diagnosed 9 months ago, with EDSS score of 2.5. So not far along in the disease, but it's an unpredictable road. However the sooner you do the procedure in your progression the better the results. We thought about waiting as well, but who knows where you might be health-wise in 2, 5, 10 years. Just my thoughts. Good Luck!

I mentioned they might be opening a new clinic in Poland. I'm not positive about that - just what I heard from our driver. I never asked the doctors, so not sure. Just wanted to clarify that.

The new clinic is supposed to open in april, i'm on their list for July/August, but I have the feeling it will be later. As I got my diagnostic 5 weeks ago, I'm still too afraid to let someone I dont know playing in with my veins... so I,m not sure...
they havent published their doctors list yet, so too much missing information...

if you want more info, look www.Ameds.pl
lots of information

for euromedic, I heard end of 2012/Beginning of 2013,
when I ask some weeks ago, they said i should be End of 2011 for me, and it's way enough time for the rest of the world to run studies on this...

the american university are starting clinical trials... and some in UK I think

here in canada, it's a joke! only at Hamilton, and only screening, with only 100 patients... Just a teaser...!!

WOW! I had contacted AMEDS in late FEB and that was before they even had any type of site up. I know that they are not giving dates for treatment yet. If you had emailed them with interest you will be put in line based on when your first contact with them was. They will be contacting those people by email on the 16th and directed to another site to confirm they are still interested in the test/treat.

Ameds is not associated with Dr. Simka. It's a separate clinic on its own.

I say get your name in as soon as you can.
You are able to cancel because I got someone's cancellation.
Watch the CBC and CTV segments on CCSVI they are very good.

Have their DRs been trained using the Zamboni protocol ? I have already registered on my own but I am curious if they have proper training.

Yes, they are following the protocols very stringently. In fact, the plan is to have a member of the Zamboni team there for the first procedures with MS patients. They are also using the same company for balloons and stents as Zamboni does / did.

Thanks! That's a ? that a lot of people want to know the answer to. They have been very upfront with me since I contacted them. It's great that another option has come about.
