Hi Steffi,

I'm looking forward to meeting you in Poland. :D It is so great having a fixed date now and I am smilling from ear to ear.
I will, hopefully, be with my wife if she can tear herself away from her work at that time. I have not received any details other than the date. I guess it will come in due time.

Wow for 3 more further weeks Mags, that would be too much commitment! There is TIMS as well, so we can stay in touch that way. I'll have my laptop with me...and think there is wireless at the Qubus 8)

My family would have also loved to come but I cannot tear the kids out of school in that period and the treasure of my husband cannot come since will then take care of them...
The details should come next day once you confirmed the date. Also the nice bill details... But fortunately they give us time to get organised for payment. My flights already booked...I could not resist offer of 0 Euro + 5 Euro tax basic fee still today so took a slightly higher flex option (where could still change flights if required).

As regards check-up: I realised that the travel to Katowice may cost me nearly equal and only slightly more time than taking train and bus to Ferrara. So this about "going local" :D

Hello,

That is great news that the day is almost upon you, it must be so exciting.

I am sure you will find everything is catered for, everyone is so nice. Even when you arrive at the airport the driver, Marek, will start the journey with the greatest amount of ease. I think he might even speak Italian. There is also a nice Italian restaurant in the centre attached to the hotel, so you will feel at home!!!

All the best on what should be a magical journey.xxx

Hi Badger, Marek actually left I heard to participate at an MS marathon :)

And there are now 2 Martas and of other nice people in the team. I met Marta in Katowice in Jan at her first day of work (when I came for the doppler exam) at Euromedic and she knows indeed very good Italian!

This time round I do not need to take the bus all by myself at 23.30 from the airport to Katowice in the deepest snow as last time!

But was also a kind of magical adventure! And all the people were so nice and helpful! All my worries to travel alone and arriving during the night were gone upon arrival. The bus driver even brought me until the St Josef hotel after we arrived at the station and said I would not need to take a Taxi, but he would bring me there as it would not be far and on his way back anyway - a Polish lady that knew English was last passenger with me on the bus + translated for me (and that was absolutely helpful! As I had written down a page of Polish key phrases such as: "can you tell me where I can get a taxi to the St Josef Hotel" etc...but would have been a bit more lost) :D

I am getting to Poland on May 23. Not sure when the actual procedure is.

That is UNLESS this whole newly opened New York avenue will happen to be faster / cheaper and more "local" than Poland (well, as local as New York can be to San Francisco  )

Hello NDwannabe, just as local as Poland can be to Italy ! Looking forward to meeting you! Faster and cheaper, yep, also in Italy should be the case, if they would just finally start!

Stephen, great you and your wife and the other Canadian couple will come!

Seems you will all be there 1 evening earlier! While you're already at the bar in Qubus Katowice on 23 I'm at the hotel in Bergamo. My low-cost flight is leaving very early in the morning of the 24th, so will already take a Sunday evening train + stay one night at the airport.

Would you fancy some Italian CCSVI hats and T-shirts to celebrate? I had bought 5 for the disabili day on 25 April in Rome where there was also a CCSVI demonstration, and then was not able to go in the end...
But the others of the new Italian CCSVI association had a great demo there!

Not that with 5 hats and T-shirts in Katowice can call it a demo , but would be nice to share them with you!

Would love one :)

Maybe we should also make a big sign "TIMS members meet HERE --> ". You know, at some local bar or something. Otherwise I will be stalking anybody with a limp / cane / wheelchair - "Are you here for Dr. Kostecki?"

Since don't have any visible item, will best wear my hat. But anyway, I'm sure will be easy to find you and other people as the Euromedic managers will know where we all are.
We will be 14 for that week it seems, and think all staying at the Qubus :)
