Appeared on facebook.
Important to note that while many articles imply that CCSVI is a recent thing, this article is clear that such link is of interest to a certain group of scientists for a long time ...

I am going to ask a question and it might be a bit controversial

Why is that Dr. Z does not harp on the fact the such a study has been going on for a century (Putnam, schelling etc.). It will really help if one says I am only validating what some brilliant scientists have always told instead of saying I have come up with a new discovery. Just a thought ...

Actually, Dr. Zamboni is very clear about that when he speaks. He invited Dr. Schelling to the Bologna conference, and introduced him and told the story of how Dr. Schelling helped put him on the venous path...finally, some news reporters have picked up on this thread. I'm so glad that the CTV team is interviewing Dr. S. I spoke at length with the WSJ about this connection and the history--but it wasn't included.

I contacted Dr. Schelling back in '08- and he was very gracious and kind enough to respond, to introduce me to Dr. Zamboni and to encourage more research.
Here is his website I stumbled upon...

Due to one of the above links I was reading a little about his research this morning and I wondered if he had ever treated anyone and how they've fared through all these years and if he didn't treat anyone, why not?
Bob
Dr. Schelling is not a vascular surgeon or interventional radiologist- he is a retired MD and researcher. He had no means to treat when he was practicing medicine. He brought his research around the world, and was routinely mocked and ignored. He went to Ferrara and watched the doctors treating MS patients with angioplasty in '08. He is not completely convinced that this is the entire answer for every MS patient (as you can see from his helping Rici)--although he is excited to see good results in most. I'm sure he'll address this in the CTV interview, and Rici will explain more of his concerns in his particular case on here.
