This fence-sitter is finally going for a doppler!

I hope the term 'fence sitter' has the same kind of meaning in the rest of the world as Ireland - it means a procrastinator/wary person.

I'm finally going for a Doppler, next Wednesday in Dublin, Ireland. The sonographer has recently trained with Dr. Simka. There is no-one that I know of in Ireland that is yet doing MRV or any angioplasty for CCSVI but at least I'll know if it's present or not, and then I can weigh up my options.

Wish me luck Thisisms'ers! I was, I think, about the 5th or 6th person who replied to the very first CCSVI thread on here, and I've been watching and waiting all this time. I have to admit I feel cautious excitement.

Hi Wonderfulworld,

Well done on finding someone in Ireland that will do an ultrasound. Is s/he open to testing others? I am on the list for dr Simka in Poland but would be interested in getting tested here in Ireland if it was available first.

Thanks
Maureen

Good luck, WW :)
Yes, fence sitter means the same thing in California...and there's nothing wrong with being cautious! We've been yacking about this together for awhile now. Hope you get some answers-

I always understood fence-sitting to mean not committing one way or the other. In any case, find someone good to do the test.

You should not wish diseases on anybody but I hope they will find CCSVI in you

Erika, Mutley, Shye & Cheer thanks!

Maureen yes they are open to testing others, I've pm'ed you the details.

I kind-of know what you mean Lyon, I feel similarly. I suppose if I have a result of some kind it's better than not knowing at all. However, I am reserving judgement on it all for the moment, watching carefully!

Nunzio, I am hoping they find obvious CCSVI too. At least it gives me something to potentially be able to fix.

Will keep you all updated.
