Dear all,

I am Monik (RRMS) since 8 years ago. I always has noticed that during the relaps and when I feel bad, the up region of my chest (sternum and close to clavicles) present a intense red color in its skin. Do you think that it could be related with the CCSVI?? Has anyone noticed the same thing???

Thank you and best regards,

M.

look up seborrheic dermatitis; it can present as a red spot on your chest.

Thank you Nunzio but the red skin is different, beceuse it is not very intense like the dermatitis and it is always associated with my relaps.

thank you Nunzio, but not looks totally different. In my case the red color is not like an inflamation. It is more or less like the red color that you can have in your face when you play sports, cheers

It can still be seborrheic dermatitis, do you get any spots on the face?
Best thing to do is to have a dermatologist take a look next time the lesion appears

No, not spots on my face only in the chest. Thank you for the advice.

Redness on chest

Hi all - this is my first post on here - I was just diagnosed a few weeks ago...Before my dx I was actually hospitalized because of the red v-neck flushing on my chest (and some redness on my face like hot flashes - I'm 36). My chest would stay red for hours, fade, then come back. They tested me for carcinoid (a rare tumor) - and thank God it was negative. I've read all kinds of scary stuff about flushing, and even with my diagnosis of ms, still wonder if it could be something else. I'm glad I saw Monik's post about the redness before a relapse.

Redness fading? Need to confirm

I have had redness on my chest for about 5 years. It COULD be sun damage, but it's odd that I don't have damage in places that I burnt a lot more often as a teen (shoulders, for example).

Before I had MS, I used to get weird red blotches on my chest and neck whenever I got emotional--people used to comment on it.

ANYHOW, the reason I'm telling you all this nitty-gritty detail is that when I got my IJVs ballooned, I could swear that some of the redness had faded, altho I couldn't be sure. I had to wonder if it was all connected.

I'm having a second procedure this week (rescheduled!). I am going to take a pre- and post-pic to confirm if it really has an effect. I'll let you know.

Absolutely, this is related to CCSVI. My face and the left side of my chest has been flushed for the last few years. When I had the procedure all the redness disappeared.
