Ridiculous statements made by neurologists please post here

Is it only me, or are other people getting frustrated when they hear neurologists making bizarre and groundless statements to the media, and not being called to task?

These neurologists seem able to say anything, in their efforts to discredit CCSVI, and only occasionally does a reporter or interviewer address it. Statements against the researchers and vascular specialists and interventional radiologists who seek to provide the choice of screening and treatment for CCSVI would not be quite so offensive, if those making the statements were asked to back up them up with research citations, sources, or any substantiating facts.

I have to admit I did enjoy hearing Dr. Freedman being asked on national television about the remark he made in the press regarding Dr. Zamboni's work possibly being a hoax. That was a rare moment.

I do have to admit to occasional fantasies in which neurologists make statements like " Establishing good blood circulation to the brain would be a good thing!". But that seems a long way off and I am not optimistic.

The more bizarre and wacky statements I hear and read from neurologists, the less optimistic I become.

When you see a bizarre or unsubstantiated statement printed in the media (or recorded on television) please copy it here along with the source, references and link if available. If you have sources for accurate information on the issue spoken about post them too.

For instance, I was trying to recall which neurologist made a statement recently that almost all new money for researching MS was not being diverted to CCSVI research. If any one has the source, let me know so I can start trying see if there is any veracity to the statement.

Just an idea...

Bright, I have started thread named "what they said" with the same intention. You may want to take a look at that.
