Their mission is to "build healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke." I see they've supported research of CVI (not CCSVI) in the past: http://circ.ahajournals.org/cgi/content ... 02/20/e126

Perhaps they would be more willing to grant funding for CCSVI research than NMSS. AHA's sponsors include Medtronic and Boston Scientific, both large manufacturers of stents. http://americanheart.org/downloadable/h ... 011110.pdf

Surely the sponsors would be willing to give money to research to make money.

Thoughts?

Great suggestion, thoughtful, informative and backed up with source links.

While I am trying to keep the hope alive that neurologists will eventually concede that proper circulation to the brain is a good thing, and that the MS Society will engage with some vascular specialists with respect to CCSVI, I am beginning to lose my sunny, optomistic attitude towards both neuros and the MS Society.

I agree that associations which that are concerned with heart and vascular health may better represent the interests of persons with multiple sclerosis.
