MRV Negative

I got Today the result from my MRV - Doctors said there are no stenonis in my jugulars.
The National Taiwan University Hospital will not initiate the Angiography / Angioplasty without prior diagnosis of blockage.
So back to square one here.... I will find a private clinic and try the "parallel" way.

More as it comes.

I'm sorry to read that, Algis.

Did they get a look at your azygous? My understanding is that the higher EDSS are related to azy. involvement, and that the azy. is hard to image. It seems too, that azy. problems are often only found in the venogram.

It's frustrating.

How frustrating Algis. Still, I get the feeling you will keep pushing for some answers that are worth something to you!! Good for you.

@johnson: Azygos check is not part of the 'examination chart' or what it stand for here. Therefore whatever %ge would not help here.
I think I will see another clinic and a vascular specialist. At least I have my MRI/MRV on CD (I'll put some shots on later).
Then the opinion of the vascular will open (or not) the door to eventual angiography (?) and test of that azygos.

@claire: thank you; but am not too frustrated. Somehow I knew I had better chance not going throughout National/Universities. Their founding certainly rely partly on pharm/industrial/investment/banking/else goodwill and satisfaction.

I will go private now and will try also to check with US (Dr.Sclafani probably).

Thank you all for your support :)

I wouldn't put my money on MRV's friend. At least not from what i ve been hearing.
What about a simple doppler?

Good luck Algis.

Shit...

I guess only a phlebography will tell the story then.

In Greece certain vascs can perform it for 450 euros for MS patients without prior indication from doppler. I wish you find someone like that in Taiwan too.

Do not give up until a phlebography has taken place.

No sh*t my Friend :|

I will probably find that locally. If not I'll see you in Greece and we'll celebrate with some Ouzo while eating good kebabs :)

I won't give up; trust me!

Cheers!

No, that is not true. If we are talking about the same person, the doppler is required for justifying venography.

My husband had his MRV ( skull, neck and chest) on a tesla 3.0 yesterday and the doctor very honestly stated , that he really does not have the expierience to judge on the pictures, but he saw a little stenose or it also could be a normal abnormality, he said.....now i guess we are moving towards a doppler and the catheter examination...and we shold not forget what prof Zamboni said in one interview: A MRV can bring both false negativ and false positiv results and the final test is the examination with a catheter! But at least the MRV showed that there are no new inflammation to be seen:-))
next stop is now Frankfurt, Dr. Vogl....

you know mrv, especially if the technician is less trained, does a worse job than doppler even if costs more.
