Looks like we will have more than 1500 colourful little info sheets to hand out at the Vancouver (and perhaps a few other lower mainland) MS Society fundraising walk on Sunday.

Thank you Rebecca from msliberation in Ottawa for connecting me to a kind person living here, who has managed to get a printer to supply 800 info sheets.

My sister and I have had 400 printed.

Another person living with MS in Vancouver printed 100.

Other friends are mobilizing!

The sheets have johnson's great graphic on one side, and some basic neutral CCSVI info. on the other. The only mention of the MS Society is a request to join us in asking the MS Society of Canada to call for immediate screening and treatment for all Canadians living with this serious vascular condition.

Please feel free to contact me by private message if you would like me to email you the file, so that you could print and copy some to hand out in your community. One sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper makes 4 info. sheets.

Have just spent a very long time trying to post a copy of the 4 image page and the 4 info sheet second side of the page, but it is beyond my ability.

If you want the 4 image format and info sheet, I will be happy to send you an email with attachments, but this is the best I can do.

Perhaps Johnson will do us the favour of posting the image he designed.

CCSVI (chronic cerebro-spinal venous insufficiency) is a serious vascular
condition, characterized by restriction of the blood fl ow from the brain,
which results from severely malformed or blocked jugular and/or azygos
veins. Studies have shown that more than 50% of persons with Multiple
Sclerosis have this vascular condition.
• Many scientifi c research studies have been published since the ground
breaking work of Dr. Paulo Zamboni. (Do an internet search and read the
recent research for yourself.)
• The eff ects of CCSVI include damage to the brain from inadequate
oxygen perfusion to the tissues of the brain, and other documented
eff ects of compromised circulation.
• CCSVI is diagnosed by means of Doppler ultrasound, MRV, and
venogram. There is nothing experimental about these diagnostic
procedures.
• The most common treatment for CCSVI is balloon venoplasty, which is a
simple out-patient procedure involving minimal and well documented risk.
• Many Canadians are traveling to other countries to receive testing and
treatment for this vascular condition. Many Canadians with MS do not
have funds to seek screening and treatment in other countries.
• The government of Kuwait has undertaken to screen and treat all Kuwaiti
citizens living with MS/CCSVI.
Join us in asking the MS Society of Canada to call for immediate screening
and treatment for all Canadians at risk for this serious vascular condition.

This is something that I put together for the back of a t-shirt. Again, PM if you would like print resolution file. Or, Happy Canuck has set up a web-shop where you can purchase t-shirts, mugs, etc., with these images, or Sandra's very cool "Word Cloud" merchandise - inspired by the most prevalent words on her FaceBook page. All profits from sales (about $4 each) will go to CCSVI research.
