Ive been reading several articles saying how 'CCSVI is a cure' but its not is it?

It stops future progression. but LDN does this.

So if its a cure like many papers/websites clai, it to be, am i right in thinking that once you have the liberation procedure the myelin starts to repair so your mobility/bladder starts improving until you are cured = no symptoms!

But from my understanding CCSVI liberation treatment stops progression/relapses, and slightly improves mobility/bladder symptoms, but thats it.

So why is it classed by many as a cure??

'Cure' definition - "A method or course of medical treatment used to restore health."

Is health 100% restored after the liberation procedure?

It's only been classed as a cure by a few overzealous, underinformed reporters.

No, it is not a cure. But there are hopes that halting progression will be achieved for some patients for the first time in history. LDN does not do this.

The only ones calling it a cure, are newspaper-people. They are in dire need of their next sensation-fix. They don't care what they print.

Noone else has called it a cure, least of all Zamboni. It is not a cure - just a help.

people, stopping the progression is a cure in my books.

I know that ccsiv is significantly higher in the MS population then in people without MS. I do not know if CCSIV is causing MS, or if MS is causing CCSIV. What is causing CCSIV i do not know.
I know that if you correct CCSIV, you improve blod flow to and from the brain. I know that alot of MS patients with CCSIV feels that their MS symptoms are reduced after treating the CCSIV.

There is so much CCSIV does not explain, it does not explain how MS is clustered around the world. It does not explain why there is a higher percentage of MS patients born in spring. It does not explain why smokers are over represented, it does not explain, why people with MS is low on vitamin D. But maybe these factors can have an impact on your veines, and how they develop.

Me myself is born in spring, I grew up in a rainy and gray part of the world quite high up on the northern hemisphere, I used to smoke, maybe all these contributing factors has done something to my veines, you never know?

I will check if i have a venous problem, and problem with the blod flow through the brain, and if it turns out that i have such problems, I will have it corrected. Cure or no cure, if it relives my symptoms it is better then nothing.

Stopping progression is something I can live with. (tm)

Scars my friends, this what MS leave in the brain/spine. And scars don't 'cure'. Having said this, if progression can be halted, it is as close as we will ever come to be 'cured'. And that is GREAT, SENSSATIONAL NEWS.

It may not be a cure, but expecting something that halts progression to heal all damage is silly.

Once the progression is halted, the body will find a way to heal itself. We will see to what extent, but I believe the body wants to heal. In fact, it's designed to do so!

i have been taking 2mg LDN for the last 2 years and i have not become ANY worse.##

my mobility is exactly the same as it was in April 2008!

Angioplasty is a cure for CCSVI, not MS. The billion dollar question is whether curing CCSVI is enough to stop MS. In my opinion, it is a step towards the right direction. Anyway, you can't walk around with blocked veins!
