Anyone know/hear about AMEDS? They are rolling out late May / June. The site looks professional and it seems like they are planning on doing it by the book. The question is whether they have any experience? Where they trained by Zamboni or Simka? Would appreciate any comments.

danegirl, I'm on the waiting list too, but what is your confidence based on?

They wanted me to pay 6.900 euros upfront (about a month before my actual trip to Poland). I skipped.
That s all i know about them :)
An educated guess would be that they know a thing ot two, since they are based in the country where so many liberations have taken place though.
Simka seems to be the sharing type of guy after all.
Hope someone knows more.

From their site it seems like they have changed their payment policy. They accept CC payments upon checking in at the hospital.

On this site we talk alot about the risks, and all the problems with diagnosing ccsiv. I think we sometimes loose focus on that all the cardiovascular doctors are saying that it is rather a straight forward, low risk procedure.
Of course we should be aware of complications, risks and unsertainties in diagnosing the ccsiv, but all in all for most of us it will be quite straight forward. They are probably up for the job, and they will get better with more experience.

Sofia, I agree that the procedure is straight forward and bares low risk. I'm not sure whether I got the % right, but I recall Zamboni saying that diagnosing CCSVI is 80% of the challenge. Simka is pretty good at this, I was wondering whether they are too. The fact that they are set up to do it according to protocol is good news.

Hi,

I'm on their list as well. I find that they are not that great at
communication. Marcin the chap that deals with that side keeps
saying that the e-mails are being blocked? Yet i get those one from him.
I feel they are very slow as well. Never heard of anyone being asked for money yet, they have not started giving appts out?Maybe folks from here can keep us informed because as he says my e-mails keep getting blocked.

Hi
Ameds clinic has been up and running since June 2010 and have already liberted 300 patients.

I was fortunate to have been one of their clients and am very impressed with their professionalism and quality of care. They are quick to respond to any concerns and take excellent care of all of your needs while in Poland.

I would highly recommend considering them as an option when investigating a qualified facility to perform CCSVI

I would be happy to share my experiences with anyone interested.
