Is there going to be testing of CCSVI in Winnipeg? Does anyone know? There was an article in the Wpg Free Press in which Dr. Cossoy and Dr. Mark(?) Godley I believe stated that down the road there might be...any word pn this? (Not likely, right?!) :? :) :(

Dr Godley is one of the False Creek Healthcare owners (?) and they do have a Winnipeg "branch". This group of Doctors are also smart businessmen (or should that be business people) who saw the chance to increase their incomes through offering private medical services but also staying within the Canada Health Acts. There are a lot of posts on "tims" re False Creek. Dr Godley was also included in an Alberta
television programme where he strongly rebuked neuro's who are nay-saying CCSVI - this tv show was posted here a week or so ago but regretably can't recall the Forum Index. Another "tims" Forum had a report of Dr Godley suggesting that False Creek would be offering day surgery treatment soon. So yes, I can see these business minded doctors offering something in Winnipeg - they would likely need to set up the imaging equipment first - Dr Simka has visited the BC location and I believe I read somewhere that Dr Godley was visiting Dr Zamboni in Italy. So I'm sure that they are laying the groundwork to establish full imaging and treatment centres; works for me !!!!! Actually phoned False Creek a few days ago to check on the "day surgery" but was told that as the "procedure was not proven in Canada" that at this time they were only doing Imaging. The answer was somewhat strange - I hadn't asked about M.S. but about CCSVI, and as far as I know angioplasty is accepted universally for blockages !!!!! The answer was obviously a prepared response, but I still firmly believe these guys will be the first to offer "the work" in Canada.

God, I hope so! IF they do follow through with everything I'll be able to afford the procedure and wouldn't have to travel far for the actual procedure...and I'm sure I'm not the only one in Canada! :P

I'm hoping somewhere soon-the possibilities only seem to be False Creek, maybe Winnipeg but I unfortunately still doubt it,, and there is a doctor in
Barrie Ont., that has but I don't know if he still is, a vascular surgeon mentioned inn a recent W5 episode, but he isn't doing it anymore-I guess thanks to HEALTH CANADA or whomever, some bureacrat-government or hospital
