We stayed in the best hotel I've ever stayed at in Bratislava! It was set up amazingly for a disabled person.

Once done there we went back to Katowice on our way to Krakow to have a follow up done by Dr Simka. This was most interesting as when I came through the door there was 3 other doctors there with him. He checked my veins out again on the Doppler machine while they watched and talked. Dr Simka said that my angioplasty wasn't as good as it could be, but it is much better and I am improving. He also mentioned that if I needed it he would do angioplasty again, not a stent. At this point it is still good though. We got to chat with with the other Dr's and talked about my ongoing recovery along with everyones CCSVI views. My husband spoke up as my care giver and mentioned my many improvements that I would not have noticed myself along with the ones I already described. Ron noticed today that I have taken hardly any painkillers lately which is great for me.

We spend the day in Krakow and are going to fly home tomorrow. I am looking forward to getting back into the routine so I can really tell where I am improving and hopefully continue to improve even more.

hello mags and to all of you wonderful well wishers!
i've yet to ask you margaret of your further changes, but like me, probably slow and steady...we are home.
i guess i, once again expected instant miracles, until hubby reminded me that i was up for 20 hrs yesterday, and even after a good nights sleep, a normal person just doesn't bounce back...and i might want to take it easy and why my head might be a little fuzzy.
of course, i instamntly thought, oh no, not this fog back, because it was ALL gone...
yesterday, without thinking, i picked up a full little tea cup and drank it with one hand. i don't remember that for a very long time!! i was unable to even lift it with two.
oh, its so good to be back...

Wow, Esta!
This is huge! I am so happy for you. I know it is very hard to lift a cup of tea with ONE HAND! My fingers have always been OK but it was not easy or sometimes even impossible to lift a cup of tea with one hand.
I hope your fingers and hands will be improving.
Erika :)

Excellent news Esta,

Everyday you will notice something more that you can do. All the best in your continued recovery.

hi all
its been 3 weeks and my feet are purple again, is this how it goes - back and forth - like they'll be pinker tomorrow, or do i know now, i'm heading for restenosis? other things are somewhat improving, so I don't know. is there such a thing as half way, and thats as good as it gets, i wonder...
after two weeks when dr. simka ck'd me, he commented then, things wern't as good, but i was improving - when do i know what to do?
