Many improvements in MS symptoms following angioplasty are subjective in nature. It would be useful to have very objective measures of improvement before and after the procedure. One such measure, that would not be subjected to placebo effect, is visual evoked potentials. This is a test that is used to assess nerve conduction down the optic nerve. It would be very interesting if patients that have had visuual symptoms could have this test done both before and after angioplasty. You may want to to ask your md to order this test.
