Alby,

I had my procedure done at Euromedic with Simka and Ludyga team in Katowice.
Dr K. is working separately at the hospital in Tychy. As far as I know he doesnt have his own clinic. He is performing liberation tratments after his normal duties at the public hospital.

So at Euromedic I got discharge papers with all drugs which I am supposed to take (7 days injections, 2 months blood thinners, and baby aspirin all life) and additionally I got stent certificate. I am supposed to have it on me for safety reasons but to be honest I dont wear it.

Mila, what kind of stent you have? mine says "balton chopin 3mm x 34mm" and nothing else, ludyga put blood thinner for 6 weeks and that's it. i looked on internet and it's a polish made stent. i don't know what kind of stent this is. what does the certificate look like? maybe i should contact them and ask them to send the certificate because i can't even see it on mrv. :roll: :!: :?:

Interesting to note the big difference in stents diameters... 3mm (alby) to 12mm (mila). Length is of less significance ("I") think.

long, but still 9mm diameter I assume; which is closer to the 12mm... Which makes about sense, >10mm would make a nice vein for my visualization of it :D

I believe I have noticed a slight gender bias in general on TIMS where the more argumentative and bombastic postings tend to be from males and often the calm and analytical posts coming from females. The last few posts I think are from males.

I was about to post details of my own when the thought struck me. We are not getting into a my stents bigger than your stent argument are we? LOL

I think I had better abstain.

(only a woman could think of it this way :roll: )

Phallocraticritical jokes apart;

That's a 1 to 3/4 proportion (3/9/12mm) which could mean quite some blood after a while...?

I think the location of the stent has a big influence on the required size. The IJV gets much bigger the closer it gets to the heart.

:lol: ok,i had the treatment on the 29 of may. stenosis of the right and left jugular vein, in poland by Dr Kostecki, and D Kuczmik. the only thing i see refering to the stent is, pta of the left jugular vein and pta and implantation of the stent into left jugulsr vein/SMART 14x40mm/

Plavix 75mg once a day
Asprin 150mg once a day
Clexane 0,06 s.c once a day for a 14 days.
Control Doppler US for 1 month.

All the rest is polish on the back of my sheet, where a lot of stent are mentioned and what apears to be ballon sizes. then i think it,s my hearth vein ect any one comment on what the back refers to lol
