Anyone care to talk about their experience?
I think the procedure kinda sells itself, why are they juicing it up so much? Creating artificial shortages? Never heard of such a thing. Oh I have but this is different. Reminds me of those late night infomercials, where "if you call in the next 10 minutes" that play for months on end.
Please be careful people. Very very careful. 9.7k is a TON of money in Costa Rica. Other than that, good luck and keep us posted.

Appreciate your concern CureIous, but I was asking about peoples experiences with the CCSVI procedure in Costa Rica (not Cabo San Lucas, Mexico). It appears from previous posts that some people either have had their procedure done in June or are about to have it done this week in Costa Rica. Would love to know how people got on.

I agree with willtravel. I would love to hear about the experiences of those who have been to Costa Rica. As someone else said in a post about Poland--the good, the bad and the ugly, whatever it may be.
So, please anyone, who has been to Costa Rica, please tell us how it was--and more importantly, how you are doing.

I think they are just there now and they have to stay for quite a while (2 weeks?) is what I heard.

Sorry bout that, had just finished reading the entire thread and quoted the wrong post in my reply. One good place to start is to do a search as outlined in the "new people start here" thread.

This will enable you to do searches on various topics. I did one on Costa Rica, it yielded 63 results, but no post-op reports that I could find. Stanford had what, 60+ people, a very small % reported step by step afterwards, most have moved on to their own thing. Just saying the numbers are going to be very small as the reports trickle in in the coming months, trying to gauge whether to have an operation done in a foreign country based on internet reports is risky at best.

All the action for Costa Rica is happening at the Facebook group. It has been amazing. I am here now and have met a few treated people (mine is Monday) and those that have come and gone have glowing reports. Improvements galore. It's been fantastic. See the Facebook group for testimonials, videos, etc. Woo hoo!

Don't get me wrong, all of us want everyone checked out and treated as they are able or willing, but that FB page has 25 people on the testimonials page, and from what I saw, only 2, maybe 3 have actually made it home yet. We'll take glowing reports any way we can get em, just like to see bunches more make it home safe and sound and give their 3 month follow ups and not only how they are doing, which is the reason we're all here after all, but what their level of monitoring is too and what their GP's are saying, assuming that was all set up beforehand.
From what I gathered there's no stents going in correct?
