Edit as of June 14th 2010

I am not confident in the decisions being made regarding the submission of this complaint, and cannot lend my support to the efforts of this group.

I have asked to have my name removed from any complaint at this time.

I am hopeful that the gathering of persons from across Canada on July 2nd to share information and ideas regarding legal action will be productive.

Jenna Machala is initiating a Class Action Human Rights Complaint in British Columbia.

Anyone interested in adding their name to the claim, or assisting her in any way please contact her at jennamachala@gmail.com

(Please note that I made an error when I first posted this. I have edited it and the address is now correct.)

I have been talking folks for some time about the possibility of initiating simultaneous complaints in each province, but when I heard from Jenna this evening that she is going ahead, I congratulated her and told her I will do whatever I can to help.

She has already arranged to be at the Human Rights Tribunal Clinic on May 31st,

We are calling on Canadians in other provinces to initiate class action Human Rights Complaints.

Inaccurate posts on various sites, and some questionalble decisions made recently by this group have caused me to withdraw my support of this matter going ahead in BC any time soon.

I have therefore asked to have my name and information removed from any submission made by this group.

I am hopeful that some progress will be made at an upcoming meeting July 2nd in Toronto, at which interested persons from across the country will meet to exchange information and ideas regarding moving forward with a legal challenge.
