The brachiocephalic trunk is also a vein, below the jugulars, that leads to the V. cava superior. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Venenwinkel.png
They balooned the lower jugular and B.trunk but the trunck did not stay open and the restriction is causing the blood to reflux up the jugular and through collateral veins. I am going to try and set up a link so I can show the images of the procedure.

I didn't get a negative but there was nothing they could do since the angioplasty didn't hold and they can't stent the Brachiocephalic trunk. they said it was a cardiac issue.
I dont want to hijack ndwannabe's thread so here is mine: http://www.thisisms.com/ftopict-11821.html
Hi Stephen, so there I found you! Sorry to hear that with your brachiocephalic trunk issue, I did not know...

As or myself I felt great the days after (improved bladder function the main immediate one which is there until now!, reduced pins&needles in hands and feel lighter/more energy overall) except the second day where had this huge migraine, and strangely the burning migraine, accompanied by burning sensation on my chest+neck came back after my business trip to Parma on Tuesday...I thought it was stress but then also thought maybe a side effect of this blood thinner? Yesterday did not take it until evening and no headache...now the burning headache again! Oh well...I guess it is maybe that or the strange crazy horrible exceptional weather we have in Italy since I'm back and does not change!!! (rain/humid/foggy - your body/clothing needs to cope with rather fresh air in mornings turning to super-hot and humid in afternoons). BUT BEFORE I REALLY RARELY HAD MIGRAINES...it's not my thing. I have 1 dose left and wonder if I should not call the hospital in Katowice to ask if the 7th last one is absolutely necessary to take...and if Ibuprufen in combination is OK to take, since now read that not necessarily recommended...so did not take today

But now I'm hijacking your thread ;-) should better report on mine. Hope things go well and also greetings to your wife E. ! We had a wonderful time and I miss you all!

Hi Zeureka,

I hope your migrane and burning neck/chest are only related to the weather. Is the pain in your neck on the side they balooned or a general all over pain?
I have finished my blood thinner injections and did not seem to have any problems with them. It sounds like you have not had much time to rest since we left you in Katowice. You probably could use a few days of down time.
It is hard to belive our time in Poland has come and gone already. E and I really enjoyed our time with you & everyone else we met. We wish we had stayed a little longer so we could have enjoyed some of that wine with you.
We will send you pictures once we get them done.
:D :D :D
Take care and feel better,
Stephen

Difficult to say since I had angioplasty in both jugulars, but now only got left a light burning sensation on both sides of my head really...I should go to sleep and indeed rest more...

Haha, we also did not get to drink it the following evening - so in the end the Californian wine was accompanying the Italian chocolates and CCSVI hat that I left Euromedic as thank you present in the reception - I was not able to say goodbye to anyone of the team and most of you Canadian guys already gone :( as on saturday the office in Qubus closed and they were in meetings at clinic it seems + so was ordered a Taxi to the airport on saturday evening. But I went to the museum in Katowice to see Andy Warhol that day.

And the day you left (Friday) had been on a wonderful sunny day with your Canadian friends couple in Krakow! Surprise!!! The driver (was his name Patrick?) of the sight-seeing shuttle we took said: "Canadians? You are here for medical treatment in Katowice are you?" How come you know? "Yesterday I already drove around some fellows of your country it seems..." Stephen, we had taken the same shuttle and guide as you! Funny, but we did the big tour and I did not miss my train back to Katowice, as you nearly did making the driver go crazy, haha! But you probably took the bus in the end, didn't you?

I'll try to send you some pics this w-end as well! Already downloaded them, and lets hope indeed that tomorrow am again better. It's only this headache, otherwise fine.

HI Stephen,

I was reading your post here, I didnt' know you missed your connecting flight in Munich...So did Robert and I ...lol.
It took us 4 planes to get to katowice when we went, but like you had Chris, Peter was still there waiting for us.
We never met Chris or magec until the second and third day...

Glad to hear you are doing well, maybe we will still be able to meet up at some point...
IF you are in Cambridge on the weekend, Robert and I are at the Cambridge Arts Festival on Dixon St on Saturday....The Cambridge Times is doing a small article for us, to let people know we went to Poland, just incase there are any MS'rs out there curious to find out about it. This way they can come talk with Robert.
