Hi everybody,

I have received an email from Medicover, an european network of clinics, present in Poland, Romania, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, eastern Germany, Ukraine and Estonia.

They say that Mr. Loic Fretard, at Medicover Poland can arrange doppler examination at the hospital diagnostic center (you can PM me for the telephone). At this moment it seems that they do perform no surgery. As far as I know no other Medicover clinic performs this test by now, but maybe it will spread to the other clinics soon.

The fee for service price is 200 PLN.

Hi Frodo,

I called Medicover hospital diagnostic center (in Wilanów near Warsaw) and it seemed like the lady at the reception didnt know what I was talking about.

Loic Fretard is in fact the director of Medicover hospital diagnostic center but she had no knowledge that he was performing USG doppler regarding CCSVI.

She is supposed to call me back as soon as she contacts him directly so we will see.

For me it would be great if I didnt have to go for every checkup to Katowice. 20 km instead of 300 km sounds nice.

Sorry. I got the information yesterday from Jonas Bylund, director of the medicover foundation. He sent me an email to me with copy to Mr. Fretard and told me to write directly to that address. Maybe he didn't check his email today.

He said Mr. Fretard in his email. I assumed wrongly that he was a doctor. I will post more when Mr. Fretard replies me.

Thanx Frodo,

I will be waiting for any information from you

P.S. Mr Fretard is the director of Medicover hospital unit but he is not actually MD, he is an ecomonist managing the clinic so the receptionist was a bit suprised when I tried to convince her that he is the one performing Ultrasound ;-)

Ḿedicover Poland has begun offering CCSVI treatment.

Their web site says that they perform "the Stanford protocol" and that they treat their patients in two days.

Though they are present in several countries, it seems that only their centre in Poland is prepared for this.
