What are the costs for CCSVI testing and Liberation procedure? I've read where folks are paying around $10,000 overseas for the whole shebang.

The 80K was what Dake charged when he was doing the procedure at Stanford.

I've been quoted $12,000 for treatment in NY.

Anyone else have CCSVI diagnosis and Liberation treatment cost info from the U.S.? Have $80k, $35K and $12K so far.

I'm putting together a CCSVI business plan for a local clinic in an effort to get them to offer diagnosis and treatment, locally.

My friend and I were quoted 21k for scans and treatment, 8k for professional fees and about $250. for consultation in New Hampshire.

I found the following for Dr. Scalfani:

I was Dr. Sclafani's first patient and the bill to my insurance for diagnostics and treatment, which included a precautionary hospital stay, was $13,500. I paid nothing out of pocket. Dr Sclafani didn't get paid seperately.

There seems to be a huge variation in prices, and many all inclusive type packages on offer.

While we are presently being denied testing and treatment here in Canada, people might be interested to know what the costs of angiogram and balloon angioplasty would be here if doctors were allowed to perform it. (please sustitute venogram / balloon venoplasty if you prefer)

On May 11th, Dr. Sandy McDonald appeared before the Canadain federal Parliamentary sub committee on neurological health.

He stated that he beleives that people with MS should have access to simple, safe and inexpensive treatment for vascular blockages. His opinion is that the vascular blockages in the veins of persons with MS should be treated the same way that vascular blockages in veins of persons without MS are treated. He beleives that the simple screening and balloon treatment for the condition is already an insured service in Canada and that persons with MS are being inappropriately denied these services.

(there is a human rights complaint being filed in British Columbia based on this)

Dr. McDonald has done the procedure on about 6 Canadians before he was forced to stop treatment for persons with MS.

He provided the committee with an estimate of the cost to the Canadian system of doing angiogram and balloon angioplasty if it is billed to our system just as it would be if performed on any other vein in the body.

Cost about 1500 dollars!! (no charge to the Canadian patient in our health system)

Wow- $1500 for CCSVI diagnosis and Liberation!

That's less than one month's supply of the most popular disease modifying drugs.

If there is even a tiny hope that Liberation could replace DMD's, your politicians should be begging to get on the CCSVI bandwagon. That could be a huge savings to your health care system.

Does Big Pharma have their hands in your politicians pockets like they do down here?

in Melbourne the cost is $0 !!! medicare cover everything and the cost for medicare is $2500 AUD including stent if needed.

please tell me folks how the cost can be 80000? or even in Poland 6500Euro. really dont understand

Before Boston Medical Center pulled the plug on CCSVI testing and Liberation, my daughter was on their list. Her insurance had approved the testing and treatment.

We are trying to get things going locally. Restenosis happens pretty frequently with ballooning.

I don't know anything about Australian health care. There is always a cost involved in delivering health care. The patient may not pay out of pocket, therefore health care is "free" in their eyes. Do you guys have government health care like Canada?

While prices have not yet been finalized, AMEDS was stating that the cost of the treatment and testing (and two stents) was going to be $5000 Euro.

Then you have to pay for airfare, usually $1500 + taxes ($1800) from where I live (Halifax) to Warsaw.

For 7 days, you can pay as cheap as $55 Cdn per night. Depending on your length of stay, it could cost you (5 days) $300 to (7 days) $400.

Food for the week - another $500.

About $9000 Canadian.

That's what I'm hoping for too. Its all soooo confusing to me - I find it hard to keep up with all of the changing information.
