Hi PCakes,

This sounds soooo interesting but I can't open anything. I have a mac, maybe that is why??? Anywhere else I can go to watch this, or read it?? Thanks...

Okay, I'm not Canadian, but I do know an a-hole when I hear him and monsieur Malo definitely fits the description. Good grief!

It had to play through several minutes of silence before I heard anything.

Just finished listening to the whole thing. So much talking and so little action. Now they have scheduled Dr. Zamboni to come on June 15th so they can talk some more!?

The most ironic part is Dr. Duncan was not allowed to put forth any motions because the committee had "run out of time." Were they not listening when they were told that MS patients are running out of time?

After the initial pause I listened to the whole recording of the committee meeting. Thanks for posting this link. I hope that Canada is proactive on this. They should at least allow private clinics to do the procedure if nothing else. It was very moving.

Flash---at least they are talking, and listening and hearing some evidence from doctors and patients. The MS world in the states is mostly silent. I found the testimony incredibly moving and Dr. McDonald was once again articulate and on point. Good to hear Dr. Haacke, and the patient testimonies had me weeping. (Make sure you have kleenex at hand when listening. Just saying.)

Cheer,
I hear you, but the old saying still applies, "talk is cheap." I am less a man of action than I was 5 years ago, but I still get irritated by endless discussion.

When the history books are written, no one will remember Luc Malo's valiant defense of Canadian bi-lingual protocol. Sandy McDonald, however, will be remembered long after these nameless legislators have passed into obscurity.

Hey Flash..you are not wrong.. it is painful..but what you are witnessing is the Canadian political system in 'action'. Every step is necessary.
Cheerleader is correct..they are talking and they are listening.. this is critical..
CCSVI awareness is rising to the surface and starting to spread out. This is very exciting!

Norm, there are always written versions in both languages for these meetings. There will be available in a couple of days.

This meeting was the 6th one. Click on the sheet under Témoignages (for the text in French) when the x will be replaced by a sheet on the same line than Réunion 6.

In English, same addres and same instructions

Cut and paste this link to your MP and MLA

I have sent this link to my MLA and Member of Parliament, (along with a note indicating that there are a few moments of silence at the beginning of the audio) asking them to take the time to listen to it and to take action.

I suggest every Canadian send the link to their polictical representatives along with a plea to listen to it and to take action.

Find your Member of Parliament here:

http://www2.parl.gc.ca/Parlinfo/Compila ... x?Menu=HOC

Find your MLA in BC here http://www.leg.bc.ca/Mla/3-1-1.htm

Also letters of support to the committee members and the persons who testified would be appropriate!!

Go Canadians!

(Flash and others you may want to send the link to politicians and decision makers and members of the press in your countries too!)
