I am waiting to hear back for an appointment date for my husband which would be wonderful. Again it is only about 45 minutes from our house and my husband is dreading flying.

Cannot wait to get a date!!!!

Cece,

The link doesn't seem to work. I am very interested in the docs in Tampa. Could you check the link, or PM me the list? Thanks!

Forgive me if this is somewhere in the posts. I am a long, long time reader. Haven't posted many times before. I live in Central Fl, originally from West Palm. Would love to get the contact info on West Palm and Tampa docs. PM'd my info to MShusband but never heard back from anyone. Have called Albany and waiting to hear back. Dx'd a year ago with RR, no CRABs but on LDN. Doing well but as everyone else knows, waiting for the next shoe to drop. Trying to live well and stay as healthy as possible for myself, hubby, family and two small boys that need a well functioning mommy. :) Thank you for any help.

I got tested within a week of contacting them. I am on the list for Liberation in the next 30-60 days. They are working out the details right now.

I spoke today with the doctor in W. Palm Beach. He should be able to start operating again starting Sept 3 from a private outpatient catheterization center. Unfortunately he is not going to be able to accept insurance but the good news is that the cost should be half of what you would pay in Mexico or Poland. Let's keep our fingers crossed and I will let you know when the last details are worked out.

Nunzio-

Why can't the doc accept insurance?

Possibly because it is not considered an approved treatment for MS. I know he doesn't want to even run the initial exam trough the insurance for the same reason.

I hope I can help with the insurance questions. My husband is to undergo venogram and hopefully angioplasty this Tuesday in Florida. I asked the doctor to provide me with the testing codes for the procedure. I called my insurer and they told me that these procedures were covered. These are the procedure codes that the doctor gave me.

1. Venous catheterization 2nd order (36012) x 3

2. Venography: Bilateral Jugular and Azygos (75860) x 3

3. Venous Balloon Dilation: Jugular and/or Azygos (35476 and 75978) x 1, 2, or 3

I don't think the fact that you have MS has anything to do with this and they should pay. They also covered his MRV. We have Aetna insurance.

My daughter's insurance has pre-approved both testing and treatment if necessary.

There's probably a good reason this doc can't accept insurance, but it raises a red flag for me.

Nunzio,
I believe we are seeing the same doctor. I have an MRV next week, and it's covered by insurance. And my doppler was covered as well. So, I'm thinking my proceedure will be covered too. I'm going to call my insurance since sgriff gave us the codes, and find out for sure.
