Hi All

I was wondering if any of you have had a similar problem, Since I can remember I have had veins visible just above the left side of my chest leading into my shoulder like a veracose vein, I just figured it was from working out when I was younger, Over the past year I have noticed that more veins are showing up, I now can see veins from the middle of my chest going out to both shoulders, I also can see one going down the middle of my chest towards my belly button, I have times during the night and day where my heart starts racing and I feel very light headed, At night when sleeping on my belly my arms and go numb, When I wake up and turnover onto my belly I can feel the blood rushing back into my hands and the numbness goes away, This is only a few of my problems but if I listed them all this would be a very long post.

I wanted to post this in Dr Scalfani's thread but I have noticed he has been away.

Thanks, I would just like to hear if anybody else has seen this problem, Any opinions would be welcome

May I ask how you "see" your veins. Like can you see the color or are the bulging out like The Incredible Hulks. During relapses the veins on either side of my head blow up to like little balloons. Also late at night my heart pounds like a drum and I can hear the whoosh in my ears and can actually feel the blood pushing out both my legs. Weird huh?

My veins only bulge out from the upper middle of my left chest to my left shoulder and it bulges all the time, All the other veins I can see just below the skin, I have a constant ringing in my right ear that at certain times of the day or night sounds like its in the entire right side of my skull, Its not weird that you hear a whooshing in your ear I have read Cheers husband has the same sound after he had Liberation

I have periods where veins that were not apparent before be bulging out on both legs. A few weeks later you can see veins on my head sticking out, or it might be my arms, never at the same time and never on my torso. It always goes away in 1 - 2 days. I asked my Neuro if it is a side affect of copaxone or prednizone, he just dismissed it. :x I have no other symptoms that go along with this. I've taken my blood pressure when this has happened and it is normal. No clue what is going on, but somethings is not working right in the plumbing department.

K this is strange. I have many come n go symptoms but the ringing in the ears is pretty much non-stop as is light-headedness. The veins in my neck pound so much that when I am sitting still the bump..bump actually moves my head. In fact I even thought at one time I was suffering from..

click on the picture and if you can believe it, mine bulge even worse than the medical picture. BTW im only 39

interesting how the symptoms mesh up with ms symptoms.

I don't have any blood pressure problems, but am considered a high risk patient. I also have type one Diabetes, so I am on a low dose blood pressure medication. I too have the symptom of lying in bed and feeling my neck or head move with my heart beat. I can hear it too. Stupid body, where is the line to get a new one I want to get in it.

Nope no blood pressure problems in fact my GP has made several comments that my blood pressure is always normal or a little low, He even took my pressure during a relapse and thought it should be much higher if only for the stress I was under at the time, Another thing is when my Neuro did a spinal tap on me at first onset he mentioned the fact that there was a lot of pressure in my CSF, If you have CCSVI does it create more pressure in the CSF or less?

My BP is all over the board. One time I was low on the L arm and very high on the right. There may just be something to this plumbing thing. At least they are looking that direction anyway. I will probably be long gone when they finally figure it out but oh well, the Millstones of clinicaltrials turn exceedingly slow, but grind exceedingly fine.
