(and Terry Wahls experiment was very interesting too). Weight training is quite a stimulus to muscle/brain/nerve system.. and also to circulation. We try to exercise also stamina, so there will be some intervals with weights - stamina - weights. But so far, so good.

ps. she hasnt trained with weights before, so squat results are quite impressvie after 3 months training..

...And still going strong, now 1 year and 4 months from procedure in Poland. Situation has been just wonderful and symptoms (fatique, weakness in her right side of body, "heavy legs", etc.) have been gone. She continues with best possible after-care and treatment: nutrition and exercise --> aerobic training (spinning) and weight training. She can do hard exercises and still getting stronger. Yesterday she squatted nearly 80 kilos and that is very, very ammazing.. after 6-8 months with weights.
Wow, that´s great!

Some time ago I and my wife wondered that can we still do karate? We met in karatetraining about 20 yrs ago and now she has had 16 yrs break. Before angioplasty she had big problems with exericise, mostly cause of "heavy legs" (especially right side), fatique and balance issues. Since operation she has been able to exercise so much better. Yesterday we had one hour karate exercise at our living room :) My wife was so critical with her techniques, but I said that best thing here is that she can exericise - lets be very very happy about that.

It's been long time, since last updated this thread. Im still very very active about CCSVI and reason for my enthusiasm still.. is that wife's condition has been optimal. Today is about 2 yrs and 8 months since angioplasty, which changed her situation wonderfully. Is she cured from MS? No, I don't think so - even though she is 99 % symptom free. Why she had optimal result? Just my thoughs: maybe cause PTA was done early (3,5 yrs after dx) + healthy lifestyle --> nutritional diet, certain supplements + exericise (power and stamina with weights, aerobic exercises).

and her major symptoms were:
- fatigue (I realized after PTA the difference, her fatique was worse than I understood)
- heat intolerance (Sauna was quite imbossible, but now she can be in sauna normally)
- depression
- balance problems (didnt ride a bike before PTA)
- weaker right side of body
- "heavy legs" (little by little jogging changed to walking, but now she enjoys jogging)
- spasticy (neck / shoulder --> quess who was doing regular masage then?)

Is this plasebo? In my opinion.. absolutely not!

Im very, very big believer in exercise - not just MS patients, but generally for everyone. I found very interesting articles and studies about resistance training with MS patients and results were promising. Training improves many things, not just your muscles but also to your brain. There are studies about cerebral blood flow and (resistance) training and those studies show that there is very clear connection. I quess first article that I found about resistance training and MS was this one (research 2005): Lifting Weights Gives MS Patients Physical, Emotional Benefits

..and one quite new article, about new USA study about resistance training in MS. Absolutely promising results: Weight training improves walking in people with Multiple Sclerosis study shows

In my humble opinion training, exercise should be part of treatment in MS, very important one. Of course its not a cure, but one way to fight against disease.

Congrats to your wife and to you, Ernst, for encouraging her!
Agree 100%. Cardiovascular and weight bearing exercise make a difference. I've discussed this with Dr. Cooke, who has researched and published on shear stress-- strong blood flow maintains the endothelium.

Thank you Cheer! That paper about effects of exericse to endothelial is priceless. It explains wonderfully what is the relationship between these factors, and gives answers why humans are "made" to move. It really is one of best medicines and still not so often used as treatment - too bad.

Since its 3 years of procedure, I made short video with my wife. Im very happy to say, that benefits are still there.. and actually she is nowadays in quite good shape.CCSVI operation gave her possibility to exercise again.. and we sweat together quite often. Believe it or not.. she can punch hard :)

This is simple picture of her symptoms and situation in 3 points: before, 1 month and 36 months later. 100 % is just number where result is compared:
