I believe what happened today in Rome was that CCSVI was recognized as a STAND ALONE vascular condition by the ministry of health, and that Dr. Zamboni was given permission to undertake his blinded study of CCSVI in MS. What is exciting about this is that patients who exhibit signs of CCSVI can eventually be treated for this disease whether or not they have MS- once the ministry establishes guidelines.
