I didnt read the entire article, but does it help with draining blood from the brain. That seems to be the primary problem with us.

Interesting article, but at the bottom of it there is a link which shows a
Resveratrol drug trial was suspended on safety concerns

"A phase 2 human trial investigating the effectiveness of resveratrol for treating multiple myeloma patients has been suspended after 20 percent of the trial’s subjects developed kidney damage."

The study that was suspended was with a proprietary blend of reservatol and other substances. So it likely doesn't put in question the safety of reservatol by itself. http://www.cancer.gov/drugdictionary/?CdrID=648245

Forget drug therapy (to increase blood flow) for CCSVI, go with balloon venoplasty as Prof Zamboni recommends.
Kind regards,

sbr487, thank you for the information on resveratrol - I plan to look further into using the natural (not drug) form of this as a dietary supplement, at least until I can get the CCSVI diagnosis and treatment. It makes sense to use all the tools in our tool belts - angioplasty is not a 100% fix in any case. Let's approach things holistically, using the incredibly game-changing knowledge of CCSVI as a springboard to explore all rational approaches.

Please note that, by FDA definition DRUGS have a dose at which they are fatal (the LD50 figure that's part of the FDA approval process represents the dose at which 50% of the subjects - usually mice - die). Many drugs are derived from or based upon naturally occurring substances in plants that have shown therapeutic qualities. Manufacturers fool with the natural substance, creating a product that might be helpful but also does harm, which they can patent and make (sometimes obscene) profits on. They can claim medical or health benefits for their formula, once FDA-approved; nutritional supplement companies, on the other hand, have been hauled into court for making similar claims about their natural supplements, despite the truth of their claims. Check out some of the articles on www.naturalnews.com and www.mercola.com if you're interested in this.

Notwithstanding the above, caution must be used - all supplements are not created equal. Look for manufacturers who use GMPs - Good Manufacturing Practices, to better assure quality and consistency. (Some anti-oxidant supplements, when tested, have actually been shown to have pro-oxidant qualities, for example.)

I'm not a supplement expert, but you can run with this train of thought and do your own research if you wish. Good luck, everyone! We're all on the same team.
