Money advice for Travel in Bulgaria

Hello,

I am quite at a loss as to what type of money and how much I should take with me. I leave in 20 days and am going to order some Euro's from my bank to have on hand when I get there.

What, in your opinion, is the best way to go about it? I am paying for my procedure with Visa or Mastercard (along with Geya Tours reservations).

Is it okay to bring Travellers Cheque and exchange them at the currency office in the Tokuda Hospital?

Just hoping someone that has been there can give me some advice.

thanks!

Hi Villagemaid,

I'm from Montreal. I went to Bulgaria in June and paid everything in Lev(Bulgarian currency) which I got from the bank in the hospital(open only on weekdays.) I paid the procedure with my visa.

You'll be in excellent hands.
Good luck to you,
Anna

The UK hasn't joined the Euro currency. It's still GB Pounds. They'll probably take Euros at Heathrow airport but the exchange rate might not be that great. Good luck in Bulgaria.
