Man sometimes reading this CCSVI blog can be depressing. Do you guys really see the world in such a bleak way? I mean you make it sound like the world has become a place of people who are only self-serving and profit driven(of course excluding vascular specialists). Do you perceive yourselves this way or have you taken the higher ground? I also get disgusted when I read some of the stories about greed and corruption in the newspaper and on TV but I think generally people try to live good moral lives.

Concerned I am not sure what it is but 1eye goes into a tailspin over spelling errors. The interesting thing is that it only seems to bother him when the misspelling is in the post of someone considered a CCSVI skeptic. I don't know I just always looked at it as a scream for attention.

Yup a three-peat. I guess I shouldn't complain about typos but that one should be on the Unicorn Hunters' Banned list, before the alternate spelling gets into a dictionary. You are not the only one. Sure, if you want to go through everything I've ever posted for typos and more wanton errors, please, be my guest. I have only been posting this year, so it should be easy for a well person.

Cocaine and heroin availability in US jails is probably a major market. The problem of putting sick people and harmless innocents in jail is not unique to the US, it's just especially bad there.

If you weren't so quick-on-the-reply-button, I might have a chance to delete stuff. Like I said, it ain't just you. Yours was just the last straw, concerned, so EXCUUUUuuussse MEeee

If you think I'm screaming for attention, wait till you see my video.

I had my veins popped five days ago. My thinking is a lot clearer, but I still can't wrap my lesion-spotted brain around one concept.

If you are an individual that really, really does not believe in the CCSVI theory or the Liberation Treatment procedure, why bother with this board?

See, as someone with MS, I spent my time and energy exploring avenues for myself to get myself better. I didn't spend time on anything that I did not believe in (i.e. bee sting therapy- I don't buy the science behind it, plus I am allergic to bees. :) ). Why would anyone spend energy on anything other than what they view as an option to get better?

Scorpion, concerned and their ilk are absolutely entitled to their opinions. I just know that if I were in their shoes, and I really thought this was all bullshit, I would not waste my time. My personal opinion is that, deep down, as they read all the positives, they believe that there really COULD be something to all of this...and they can't disengage themselves altogether.

Kind of like the little kid who keeps rubbing his tired eyes, knowing he needs to go down for his nap. That kid knows he will feel better when he wakes up, but he doesn't want to stop playing right now, even though he isn't enjoying it anymore. :D

Someone here made a very good observation that despite having MS, they sound as if they really they don't want a new theory to work. Is it just CCSVI?. Now tell me how many patients you have seen that don't want sure for their disease?

Of course, the normal escape route is ... you guessed it ... "I want "scientific" study"

But my outlook is more bleak. I think some people, like terrorists, just do it because it's fun. People with CCSVI? Not usually.

Boobear I will respond to you after I get home from work but I will say that I believe the tactic of devaluing someone's character or ideas because they are skeptical of CCSVI is done out of fear. If you can paint me as a "troll" instead of someone who truley cares about the people who come to THISISMS my words would certainly mean a lot less to people. In my opinion what it comes down to is that a few other members and I pose questions that some of you do want to think about and I am sorry it makes you uncomfortable but I continue to believe that skepticism plays a valuable role on THISISMS and specifically on the CCSVI forum.

Scorpion, I did not paint you or anyone else as a troll. Nor do opposing views to the theory make me uncomfortable. And I believe I stressed that you are entitled to your opinions. I can't see where I devalued your character at all.

My observation, on the contrary, is my own opinion. I would assume that everyone that struggles with this disease wants a cure. Period. Now, if you believe CCSVI is part of that answer, it would make sense to devote a lot of time to this board to get the answers you seek. But if you really don't believe that CCSVI is the answer, power to you; wouldn't your energy, then be better spent finding something that you can believe holds the answer for you? As I stated in my post (clearly), I can't wrap my head around why anyone would want otherwise.

No questions, by the way, make me uncomfortable at all. But there are questions and there are challenges- some topics do warrant both, but not every single topic. Personal experiences, positive or negative, as an example, I don't ever challenge. Because I have no right to challenge someone's personal experience. Unfortunately, I have not seen the same in response on some of the posts that I have read.

I'll point out gently that it was not me who said that people on this board may "see the world in such a bleak way". Or to comment that someone "goes into a tailspin" over a misspelling by a CCSVI "skeptic". Nor did I say that your posts were a "scream for attention." Someone did say those things, though.

What I spoke was my opinion, clearly stated as such. I was not disrespectful. I called no one any names. I stated an opinion based upon my own personal observations. Clearly, a pro-CCSVI poster can have opinions and observations, too?

I think that comparing us to children kind of devalued our characters.

I don't know, I don't get the motivation either. But there are people who go on suicide forums and encourage people to go through with it...not that anyone here is sociopathic like that. But the web is pretty wide and maybe there are people who are genuinely raising viewpoints and there are people who are just having fun with it?

I said the behavior was like a tired child, not the people. I can't help it if you made the alternate parallel, but it was not intended as such.

Oh, well, no use crying over spilled ilk.
