pulsing buzz in thigh

So all day today I have been feeling a regular buzzing feeling, as though a cell phone in my pocket is vibrating on my mid outer thigh, right side.
I've had sensations like this before, but this one is odd in that it is happening regularly, perhaps in time with my pulse. It doesnt FEEL like electrical nerve damage kind of tingly, more like physically vibrating or fluttering ...
I can't shake the feeling that it's blood pulsing up through a vein in the thigh past some kind of obstacle perhaps?
No other symptoms or problems I can tell, although it looks like the veins in my right foot are more prominent than in my left (but maybe it's always like that and I never noticed). It happens mostly when I am seated.
Researching online I found this "A slight ‘buzzing’ in the thighs could be due to inflammation of the blood vessels called thrombophlebitis. It can also be due to a deep abscess or deep vein thrombosis."
Any thoughts or similar experiences?
