Hi folks,

My university library doesn't have access to this new paper. Can anyone else check and at least get the abstract?

Author: Richard A. Rudick
Title: Multiple sclerosis: Is multiple sclerosis caused by venous insufficiency?
Journal: Nature Reviews Neurology 6, 472–474 (1 September 2010) | doi:10.1038/nrneurol.2010.117

Thanks so much!

This should give a hint that that article is going to say:

ok, more here ...
Others, however, are unconvinced. “The sensitivity and specificity of Zamboni's ultrasound tests are so high that they are hardly believable”, says Richard Rudick, director of the Mellen Centre for MS at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation (OH, USA). Similarly, Coles finds it “extremely surprising that Zamboni could distinguish different types of MS based on different patterns of venous abnormality”.

wow! this guy has great reputation preceding him:
“Over the years, we have seen all sorts of claimed breakthroughs that have come and gone in the field of MS. We are yet to see whether this is one of them.”

- Richard Rudick, director of the Mellen Centre for MS at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation

Thanks sbr!

Sounds like the mothership is coming after us. Why do I hear Star Wars music all of a sudden?

I still hope someone can dig up an abstract...

ok ... i tried scanning through different means at the source and it looks like this is not a research paper but is most likely going to be some kind of opinion piece. And we know what opinion this piece of **** is going to have!!!

Pubmed.com search on Rudick, first hit:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20811464

Work in progress...?

Anyway, no abstract available (yet?)

And Ashton Embry has stated that the only plausible cause of MS is dietary, and, that by following his dietary guidelines, you can stop the progression of MS, and possibly relieve yourself of all MS symptoms.

a line of thought echoed by Dr. Swank ..... and well before the CCSVI discovery ......... Dr. Embry has been very honest and up front with his introduction to CCSVI .......... which he admitted to being unaware of until recently ............ same as everybody else X .

I can only imagine an IR coming out with a paper titled, "Is autoimmune theory the sole cause of MS?".

Another diversion for us to chase around in circles. Send him over to Colin they can have a nice conversation and stay out of our veins since they are already clogged up with beets n' taters.

One glance at the page linked above to his stellar neurological credentials tells us all we need to know, with the opinion fluff paper being a mere footnote and barely worth mentioning, until of course the media grabs hold and beats us over the head with it, as if it warrants a response, which it does not. This is only the beginning, since CCSVI has permanently affixed itself to the landscape for the forseeable future instead of being an easily dismissed cult theory, expect one of these type "papers" on a regular basis.

We'll get good at ignoring them too...

Just noted also in the propaganda department, how his title alone is revealing, typical straw man, 'Is MS caused by CCSVI?".

Not even the CCSVI proponents state that, so he's arguing with shadows, and surprisingly, winning! Maybe his straw man is filled up with beets n' taters?
