As far as I know following Liberation treatment patients are required to take blood thinners. Is this for a fixed period of time or must they be taken permanently?

hi david 1949
for liberated folks, like myself, who just came back from katowice, poland, stenters are on blood thinners, and asprin for a year, then asprin forever; while angio's are blood thinners for 7 days.
hope this helps...

Depends on the DR, patient, and situation. I had angio in Albany and am on Plavix for 3 months.

Yup, me too, had liberation on Aug.24th in Albany, 3 blockages, 2 in left jugular and 1 in right jugular. No stents :D . I am on Plavix for 3 months, it defintely depends on the dr. and the severity of your CCSVI.

Thank you all for your answers. I hope you all are doing well now that you're liberated.

Anyone on aspirin only after balloon angio (no stents)?

For those that have been through balloon angioplasty, I am seeing a real difference regarding the type and longevity of medication prescribed after the procedure. (Plavix, Coumadin, aspirin, War...)

Is there anyone who is sensitive to medication that was put on an aspirin regime only? If yes, what was the dosage?

I appreciate your personal experience knowledge.

Hi there, my husband had his treatment yesterday here in Munich, germany and his doctor decided to give no medication at all, since he thinks that aspirin e.g. is only good for arterial blood, or somethinglike that..however no drugs for my husband right now;-))) one has to also consider that my husband was his first patient for CCSVI!best

Ines,
Thanks for responding with your husband's experience and congrats for receiving the treatment.

I think I had read somewhere about aspirin for arterial blood too. However, I'd think if it provides anticoagulant properties this would work for both the arteries and veins.

Did the doctor talk to you about clots at all?

Thanks for your response.

I talked to the people at Pacific interventionalists in California and they said they don't put people on any drugs, they gave me a reason, but I forget what it was. So yes all over the place.
