transcanial ultrasound

I was assessed in Buffalo as part of the BNAC study. Through the transcranial ultrasound I was found to have reflux in my deep cerebral veins. The ultrasound of my neck veins showed normal flow. The research doctor told me that nothing could be done to treat that problem at this time. I am assuming that one day neurointerventional radiologists will be able to fix that problem. From speaking with many persons that have been assessed for CCSVI many of them have not had the transcranial ultrasound as part of their testing. This may explain why some people on testing and on venogram do not appear to have problems with their veins or CCSVI. During a radio program on CCSVI, I heard that the transcranial ultrasound has not yet been approved in Canada. I am not sure about the USA. Please your thoughts. For clarification the ultrasound probe was placed near my cheek bone. I saw a video of someone being tested in Poland by Dr. Simka and he did not appear to use the transcranial part of the examination.

The poll should have said, "as a part of your assessment for CCSVI", not, "as a part of your treatment" I do not know how to change this. If anyone knows how they can pm me. Thanks.

Taiwan:

* First-hand to my open-minded Neurologist (no sarcasm) - Directly send me to doppler exam but no particular protocol was used; therefore negative (About 20' exam - TaiDa Hospital). Because of the procedure rules he could not send me to further exams.

* After some research; found VGH (Veteran General Hospital) who tested me with intense doppler procedures (over 1 hour). Found a >90% blockage in my LIJV; confirmed by MRV.

Hope this help :)

After logging in to the site, click on the edit button in your post. Scroll down to the "Add a poll" section and then you should be able to modify the various fields associated with the poll.

Could persons please let others know where or where they did not receive the transcranial ultrasound as part of their CCSVI testing?
Thank you.
