Wow, I am glad to hear your doctor was able to get the clot out, especially with it being that old. Very impressed.

Thanks for the updates. It is especially good to hear how people are able to deal with the sorts of post-procedure complications that can arise. Especially since yours is a success, at least when it comes to getting rid of this clot.

It's interesting about the collateral. Why would the blood choose the collateral if the jugular is open?

Glad to hear it was taken care of!

Wow! Jugulars are rather big!

I was always wondering... If the collaterals form so efficiently and take over sort-of-speak, why would we need to "fix" the stenosed veins then? Not a question to anyone specifically, just my musings.

i hope i've read back far enough to see where this has been going, but in the last couple pages anyway, i'm not getting a sense of stone throwing here personally.. just general musings. jcb i hope you continue to post your progress, keeping in mind that what we have here is an open forum where discussion of different perspectives or musings on the same topic are what TIMS is all about... as long as we conform to the rules. if you would prefer to post progress without discussion that might be something achievable in the journal section of the web site - let me know if you would like me to investigate.
