enough! (not directed specifically at you, scorpion). this thread will be flagged to the attention of the administrator.
Jimmylegs,

Will the doctors on board ignore these posts??
probably they will. however, keeping this thread alive by exchanging insults reduces the chances that it will escape their notice.

The only intention of my post was to make people laugh about it in order to prevent another verbal slugfest.

But joking aside: There is plain advertising for the CCSVI treatment on websites of clinics abroad, and I really dislike this - as much as I dislike any medical advertising. And there were some advertising attempts of one or two users here telling people to go to india. But within one or two days, the community here had made it very clear that we don't want this here and the advertising users remained silent. So there's really no reason to be concerned about someone selling something on TIMS.

The other thing is that your (scorpion) posts are all too often disrespectful and even insulting. Therefore it's no surprise if people assume it is just another insult, even if your intentions were good. Someone who has again and again shown a severe lack of verbal empathy is not in the best position to give advice or warnings.

Don't get me wrong. Critics and skeptics are welcome and I really like the in-depth debate of pros and cons - as long as every part is respectful, objective and stick to the facts. That doesn't mean that every pro-CCSVI here is like that. But violence induces counter-violence, even if it's just verbal. It's of no use to chime in to that. CCSVI isn't about black or white. Never will be. Nothing in the field of medicine. Because it's about humans, you know.

The real sad thing is that the scientists of CCSVI are often thrown together with those just making money out of it, contributing nothing to the research. But you, scorpion, should be able to distinguish as you're a skeptic, but nevertheless enough into it.

Is there some way better than PM to contact Arron because I sent him a PM a week ago and it never left my outbox so he obviously doesn't look in on thisisms very often.

Thanks jimmy, I do remember when thisism server was down not long ago he steered us over there.

Long story tried to make short. MSU plays University of Wisconsin today and I emailed best wishes to John Fleming and for unspecified reasons I searched "fleming" to see what he would find if he came to thisisms and did the same and ran across this thread I'd found interesting and had forgotten about.

In the spirit of "The best of thisisms" and considering that scorpion started this thread regarding thisms and doctors it seemed timely and appropriate to include this link http://www.thisisms.com/ftopicp-82697.html#82697

But did you really give up on him? You read all the way to the end of the thread, hoping to find something useful, say from cheer. If one really wanted to avoid reading posts from scorpion one would have a hard time, but a good rule of thumb would be not to read threads initiated by him. Perhaps that is a good indication of lack of fear. But also, if you lack interest, or simply don't like what he endlessly says, not reading his provocative threads (no matter how much the subject line looks interesting) is a good way to start. Personally, I find it fun (reading them), as long as I can stay out of it. It's hard sometimes, but I know I can do it.
