Post-CCSVI medication protocols????

Hello all,

Following my wifes Angioplasty for CCSVI (in Poland with Dr Simka) she was given Heparin injections for 7 days.

Over the last few months I have found that the post-CCSVI medication protocol differs widely depending on where (and when) you had the procedure.

Could others who have had the Angioplasty procedure please advise as to which medications or supplements they were told to take post procedure and for how long.

Many thanks,

Pinda

My daughter and I were both treated by Dr Siskin. I am PPMS with "the worst May-Thurner but body has compensated nicely so nothing was done", left IJV completely blocked and angio/balloon done there plus azygous - I was prescribed Plavix for 6 mos. My daughter, RRMS, with 50% blockage in right IJV was put on Plavix for 3 mos.

My wife was given Heparin injection only for 7 days following ballooning of right jugular vein. I wonder how this compares to 3 months of Plavix???

Cheers,

Angio or stents? I was on an aspirin, plavix, and coumadin. Aspirin forever, the coumadin and plavix for 3 months. Plavix was to be extended for 6 months as a precaution, but I couldn't tollerate it.

Can't we just drink some wine to thin the blood/widen the vessels?

:? :P

Rhonda:
My wife had Angio only of RJV.

Algis:
Regarding the wine, if my wife does not have a glass or two of red wine she will definatley have a spasm or two the following day. But my wife does not like drinking :?
Can anybody recommend something else?

My wife started on 100mg of Ginkgo extract (as a tea) per day last week -and we will upp this to twice daily from Monday.

What else can she try? Reservatrol gives her numbness so that is a big no-no.

At the moment she is on her menstrual cycle and the spasms are sooo much worse. No other symptoms have returned post-CCSVI but the spasms are sooo getting on her nerves especially after being totally symptom free for nearly 2 months.

Cheers,

Pinda

Actually I am not sure if it is the components of the wine (resveratrol? or whatever it is...) or the alcohol itself...

But alcohol is taboo in your society; even worse than Cannabis; so we may never know 8)
