The US based National MS Society is having its national conference in Chicago November 10th thru 12th.

The conference is sponsored by an array of Pharmacuetical Companies. Scroll down to see the logos of conference sponsors:

I thought it was interesting that quite a few of the meetings on the conference schedule (I count 15), including a day long National MS Society board of directors meeting, are listed as being "by invitation only". I wonder if that's new this year, or if its always been like that?

My understanding of the rules of nonprofits in the U.S. is that the public is required to be allowed to observe board of directors meetings, unless the meeting goes into "executive session" and executive sessions are only allowed for certain specific topics. I'm not an attorney so I may be wrong, but someone might want to look into this.

Also, I wonder if there might be an opportunity for CCSVI advocates to set up a booth at or near the conference? It could be an opportunity to provide educational information about CCSVI to people with MS.

Also, on Thursday November 11th, the MS Society conference includes a workshop called: "The Society's Commitment to the MS Research Pipeline"

It the only workshop I could see that doesn't have a separate paragraph on the "Workshops" page describing the workshop, so there's no way to tell if the workshop includes information about CCSVI. The link to the Workshops page is on the left side of conference schedule page.
