I had my liberation procedure nearly 3 weeks ago. Everything went fine, both jugs were ballooned (one was 45% narrowed, other was 20%) and the azygos (sp?) was fine, but "tortuous" as they said. Many of my symptons have improved (walking, coordination, etc) but other have remained (dizziness, fatigue). Overall I feel pretty good, even before the procedure I felt pretty good.

Since the day after the procedure I have been dreaming much much more often. Either that or I am remembering dreams more. Just about every night I have dreams. Most are pretty heavy topics or at least feel that way. Also, my emotional state is pretty delicate. I'm up and down a lot more than ususal. The ups are really great, the downs are not so much.

Has anyone had this experience post liberation? I'd appreciate your comments. I'm starting to wonder if I'm crazy!

I also have increased dreaming, but not as much as others have reported. Hopefully, someone will chime in with more information about that. I know it is out there. Emotionally, I was and am still pretty high. I think it is like when you have the flu for a week or so you are so happy to feel better for awhile. I am just so happy to be able to function and feel good, even almost a year later. I am sorry about the low part. I hope others will have some good input for you.
Take good care,
Beth

I learned a trick in psych class in college ... here is what you do if you want to test your "dreams".

You have to act like your dreams are a person, sitting in the chair across the room from you (and you are their therapist).

The dreams don't want to be remembered, but you have to convince them to let you remember them.

So you sit down for a few weeks with them every night ... and have a conversation out loud.

You ask them why they don't want to be remembered and why they are fighting you trying to remember them. Then you slowly over the course of those two weeks keep asking them to allow you to remember them. At first they are very hesitant but eventually over those weeks you break through in your conversations and they start to agree. By the end of the two weeks you talk about your dreams and how you remember them and how great it is. Eventually you start remembering almost every dream through the night.

I did this in college as part of the class, and at the time remembered 90% of the dreams of the night. It slipped over time, but I still remember at least 2 a night when I wake up.

I know it sounds really silly, but it really did work. I did it again earlier this year, and started to remember more again. You feel dumb doing it, but like I said, sometimes it's fun remembering those dreams.
