I'm just in the door from a GP appt. About this time last year I walked into her office with a stack of ccsvi research.. she said hmmm? Never heard of it.. probably just another 'gimmick'.
I've kept her updated over the year with not so much a negative response more like a raised eyebrow.
Today she shared that another of her patients had just returned from 'out of country' treatment. He has PPMS.. good results.. dexterity back in his hands, strength in his leg, warmth in extremities, reduced pain, reduced fatigue and overall feeling great.
We then had the best conversation and with two med students listening in. Everyone was excited. My doctor asked many questions and touched on 'placebo'. Admitted to advocating for the devil.
I asked if she would offer post-treatment care for the patient mentioned above. She said definetly, to the best of her ability, and had received no 'edict' to do otherwise.
We bantered a bit more and then she said.. "I do not believe such profound results over such a lengthy time could be placebo". "I believe this to be an exciting discovery with untold possiblities". She then turned to the students and said "you are entering medicine in a very exciting time"..
She is a well respected doctor in the autumn of her career.

...and they will tell two colleagues and so on and so on... :)
