Raven via Flowers4MS Update on Angela,
Angela had her MRI last week and it showed that the lesions in her brain continued to spread. They did another lumbar puncture to test for virus levels to see if the spread was due to PML or to IRIS. She was admitted to Johns Hopkins on Wednesday and began taking an experimental treatment for the PML on Friday. She has been speaking a little better this weekend, but is currently bed ridden. There is not much else to report. We are really in a wait and see period to see how she responds to this new treatment. Again thanks for your support and for the information many of you have sent our way. Each of these options had been discussed with our doctors and the medical staff here is in touch with many of the leading PML experts throughout the world. All of these treatment options are experimental at this time. Our doctors feel most confident in this particular anti-viral medication.
I hope this is ok to repost here from the facebook site.

Gosh I hope she is ok and recovers from this pml. I litterally pray to God each and every eve. that John does not develop pml from the two plus years on Tysabri.

I saw her video. She has a very positive attitude. I don't remember the date of it. She had a little trouble with word finding and thoughts, but she seemed to be taking it well. What a lovely person she is.

I will send good thoughts and prayers her way.

My prayers are with Angela and her family. This is one of our worst fears as patients; I am so sorry it became her reality.

Cheer, if you need a translator, I am fluent in Italian.

Here's a report from this weekend from Judy--
I saw Angela this evening. She is doing better, little by little. :) I really would like to do a more full report. She is talking a LOT more and even using her right hand to gesture as she is speaking.
for those on Facebook, you can keep in touch and post notes to Angela in Italian or English here:

an update on Angela Flowers4MS
Good news. Angela will be discharged from the hospital on Sunday. She continues to get better. She is walking more. She climbed some stairs today. She is talking more clearly and making jokes with everyone. I do believe in miracles. Thank you all.
Good news at last. Very happy to read this.
