Does anyone know?

How long should Plavix be taken post liberation procedure? It has been 6 months for me and i am still taking Plavix and baby aspirin.

This was after my 2nd liberation and i now have a stent in my right jugular. The doctor who did it tells me that i should take it indefinitely but i am not sure.

Please enlighten us to your views on the matter.

There are 24 hours in a day, I try and break my Plavix into halfs. One half in the morning and one half at night. Aspirn too.

Not a question for a chatroom

Please discuss this with your surgeon and medical doctor and do not discuss it on this chatroom. Basic questions like medical/family history, clotting time pre procedure, type of procedure, current clotting time need to be considered. There is no 'one size fits all' for post procedure medication, so any discussion could mislead.

Kind regards,

Among the research that the docs need to do is determine which anticoagulant or antiplatelet to use and for what duration. Right now, what's best is not known, the doctors make their own determination.
