Good Day

My wife has MS and we are presently scheduled for Bulgaria in December. We found a clinic in California called Pacific Intervention/Renaissance Sugery. The doctor's name is John Hewett. Does anyone have any feedback on this clinic?

thanks very much
Peter

I think the clinic you are talking about is Pacific Interventionalists. They have there own web site. www.pacificinterventionalists.com There is already a thread started on this group in the forums under CCSVI--Has anybody had surgery with Dr.Arata--California. He is another doctor in that clinic..... Hope this helps

Peter--
you'll find the answers to your questions in the specific CCSVI Forum below this one...you're in the general forum.
Welcome. The best advice in seeking treatment is to stay close to home. Angioplasty is not a one time fix. The rates of restenosis (reclosure) of the jugular veins are around 40% and your wife will need follow-up care. Please read, and learn. The best place for research-based information is www.ccsvi.org The doctors are learning more, and if you can wait for treatment, I suggest it. So does Dr. Zamboni.

We've had a few bad outcomes out of Bulgaria (LR1234, others). If you are in the US or nearby, going with a US clinic seems reasonable. I included links to the Pacific Interventionalists and Dr. Arata on the other thread grindlator started. All the best with your decision.

Having had the procedure done twice in Bulgaria, and tried a third time in Albany and my veins are still closed. If your wife can wait I would highly recommend it. Zamboni found about 50% restenosis. Wait and see if they can solve the problem of veins restenosing and collapsing.
