Thank you all soooo much! My first info... Get scheduled early. I wanted slightly later so I didnt have to start driving at 3 am. It's almost noon and I'm STARVING!!! Lol. They are all great though and have let me drink a very little water since they are running late. I will post more soon. Blessings! :D

You know, I posted days ago, but I have no idea where it went! My apologies to you all. I have been doing wonderfully and I am SOO thankful for all of you thoughts, prayers, and checking on me.

The procedure went well, though it was more than I thought. I wasn't really prepared for what happened, but it wasn't bad...I just had no idea what to expect. Anyway, my left side was blocked 80%. My right is blocked 70% and I don't know about the azygos or whatever it is yet. I am scheduled for the 30th to finish up.

Since the procedure, the first thing I noticed was my sight. The only real problem I had (so I thought) was double vision. I do still have that, but I can see clearer and colors are brighter. It was amazing to look around...and the sunset! Wow! I am not nearly as tired as I usually am. I can think clearer and remember stuff better now. I thought I would be super excited and want to fit the last 18 years into the next two weeks. But I didn't. I am actually enjoying the quiet in my head. I am relaxed and I just want to sit quietly and think clear thoughts. It's so wonderful. Even if I don't get any better than this, it is more than enough for me. I can read again and understand what I am reading. I can remember things and I don't have post-its all over the place. I used to staple notes to my purse so I didn't forget to do things in town before I went home from work. I don't do that now and I love it. I am in absolute awe at the fact that I am part of such a revolutionary process. I will try to keep up with you all and not leave you in the dust. :D

Oh, and I haven't had to refer to anything as "thingy" since the procedure either. I can remember what each "it" really is and call it by name. The only things I have called "thingy" are the things that I didn't know what they were anyway. Blessings!!!! :D :D :D

Great Kaboodah ... hope it continues!

Glad to read it ...

From one Pennsylvanian to another ...

I assume you went to Albany? (if not you don't have to answer where - but I haven't gone back through to read).

Nevermind, I guess all I would have had to have done was read the title of this thread ... but I'm in a hurry to get to a 1230 meeting.

OK ... bye then, and congratulations!

lol..Yes I did go to Albany. They are the most WONDERFUL group in the entire world. IF I had to converse with even the janitor, I am more than confident that he/she would be just as wonderful as anyone else who works there. Good luck at your meeting!!! I have no problem sharing info. The more you know, the better decisions you can make.

Kaboodah - Everyone is so glad you are doing well. I had to laugh 'cause I though I was queen of the post-it's and I like the word "thingy" too! Hope things continue to get better for you. I am hoping to get my second round of the surgery soon, but not until at least January (restenosis).
Take care!

Congratulations, kaboodah! I'm so happy for you!!

I love the way you described all your improvements. There might be even more improvements in store for you after you "finish up." I'm so glad you're taking it easy. I think a mistake some people make after their liberation is to do too much and not give their body time to adjust and heal. I agree -- Dr. Mehta and his staff are "WONDERFUL."

Enjoy the quiet in your mind and thinking clear thoughts!

~HP

P.S. .. Just so you know in case you read the post in the future, a couple of days ago, I posted to you on the other Dr. Mehta thread because I couldn't find this one.

Great news Kaboodah!

You mentioned that you'll be going in for the second procedure on the 30th, so I assume they ballooned one JV and will do the other one next, along with the azogos if needed? I think that's Dr. Mehta's protocol. I guess things could improve even more!

Glad to here it wasn't bad. I'm waiting on my insurance approval to be next in line to have this done.

Yes, I he opened the Left and on the 30th he will open the right and check/open the azygos or whatever that one is called (but not "thingy" lol)

I know some people are annoyed with that protocol, but I am completely fine with it. I would rather travel twice than take a chance once and have a major problem.

I am very pleased with the current improvements, but I am actually more excited about the next step. Even before all this mess, I was never a creative person. I am very much about numbers and organization. I have a business degree and I have a great job in an office. I can remember things better and colors are brighter. From what I understand, your left side of your brain is the creative side. So, if I am this much better from the left side draining correctly...I am assuming that when the right side is done, I will be right as rain. lol....I approach most of life with common sense. Off to the gym! Tootles!..and God's Blessings to you all!
