There are several different types of US imaging. B mode is term used to describe an US probe with an array of transducers that are used simultaneously to produce an image. Its kinda of "old school" to use this term since most probes being used for medical imaging are B mode. It also means that they are looking at the image without any color (flow) information on the images. Other terms used to describe this are "gray scale or 2 dimensional" imaging. ie. On gray scale imaging, imobile valve leaflets were seen causing a greater than 80% narrowing.jackiejay wrote:can anyone explain, "B mode abnormalities noted bilaterally"...would this be something congenital pertaining to valves, etc.
