Hi Everyone,

I am just new to this site. Has anyone had problem with intimal hyperplasia within their stent and if so what course of action was taken for them

I know of one person who talked about it. The stent was ballooned inside the stent but the intimal hyperplasia ended up closing it off entirely over time.

hi there
i have that problem after my stent placement in august. i was told, after a follow-up ultra-sound, at the false creek, vancouver clinic and hearing from dr. simka in poland that staying on plavex and aspirin will not change it, but to leave it alone for now, as its not refluxing even though quite a few symptoms have returned. i chose to go to a naturopath and he got me on a soya product - that is called natto - a japanese breakfast food - that makes the blood slippery, and may clear the flow more until someone invents an answer. i will go back in march for a follow up. when, we will know...
